Hello and Welcome to our site !!

We are a small breeding cattery in the North West of England (UK). Our cats have full run of the house (and our hearts) and have access to a large run so they can get some fresh air and play safely outdoors. They are also lead trained and we enjoy taking them up on to the moors near our house to let them have a good old explore on the extention lead.
My name is Anneliese and I live with my partner John in the hills above Oldham, with our four Norwegian Forest Queens, Pomeranian Maggie, Chihuahua Megan and our black moggie Boe- what an odd mix I hear you say!
I have always been a great lover of animals from an early age. My interest goes further than pure admiration as I have always preferred a more active involvement. From the age of 16, I regularly volunteered at my local RCSPC shelter - My mother groaning when I would come home full of excitement that I had fallen in love with another cat or dog which I wanted to bring home! On a more serious note, animal welfare and protection has always been of paramount importance to me and I have always gone out of my way to ensure that animals are loved and cared for!
As I got older my interest and "addiction" only grew stronger and it was at this point that I wanted to learn and absorb as much knowledge as I could. I have undertaken several courses and a Diploma in Animal Care. More recently, I have completed a short course in cat breeding.
We first fell in love with Wegies some years ago, captivated by their majestic wild looks, with their stunning coats and dreamy green eyes!!
It was, however, only in August 2007 when we were lucky enough to welcome one into our home. Well to be exact it was actually two - that's the thing with Wegies, they are addicitive, with one turning to two, to three, you get the idea! We now have the pleasure of being owned by Roma, Bella, Nala and Arwen.
We threw ourselves straight into the world of cat shows, and to our surprise,Nala won 1st in the Kitten Open class and Best of Breed at our first ever show (Yorkshire County Cat Club 2007). Rather bravely, or stupidly (however you want to look at it) we took 3 of our cats to that first show. They all came highly placed! Since, then we have continued to do teriffically in the show ring with Roma becoming Grand Champion at Tica show in April 08. See our Show Page!
We are also full members of the following cat associations;
GCCF (The Governing Council of the Cat Fancy, UK)
TICA (The International Cat Association)
FIFe (Felis Britannica)
Please browse through our pages to find out more about us, our Wegies and whether or not these cats are the right breed for you.
